Experience Seattle, part two

Smiling sweetly in the (partly-sunny) Seattle sun, I link arms with my date and head out the door. I’ve been anticipating this “Sophie Tour” since last week, but now that I’ve been put in the spotlight and am expected to lead this Seattle adventure extravaganza, I’m a bit wiggly in my boots, to be honest. It’s just that I’m a total perfectionist, one of those puts-the-can-back-on-the-grocery-store-shelf-exactly-where-she-found-it kind of girls. I want to make sure that this tour of the Emerald City is a tour to remember. How did I get myself into this anyway? Oh yeah …I came up with this silly idea-turned-business-venture over a dinner date last week. Over a dinner date with the guy that I’m currently taking on a tour today. RIGHT …I remember. It’s 10:00 a.m. We jump on to I-90 heading west, and I can see the beautiful city making its way closer and closer with the reflection of the growing sun. We take the I-5 North ramp and then jump off on James Street. I’ve decided that if we’re going to do this, we’re going to do it right. And so I ask my date to park right on James —we’re going to walk this tour; it’s much more tour-like to walk instead of drive (plus, I’ll get a chance to work off that venti cappuccino I had this morning).
