Joy DeGruy-Leary, a professor at Portland State University, will lecture on “Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome,” suggesting that centuries of slavery, followed by instructional racism and oppression, have resulted in destructive behavioral problems passed on in families. She will speak at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 14, in the Carson Theater (E building) at Bellevue Community college.
