On Wednesday, October 28, Room C103 was bustling with activity and more people than there were chairs available as leaders and representatives from over 20 clubs on campus met with the Associated Student Government (ASG).
The meeting was the first of what will be a regular monthly time for club leaders to come together and build communications with each other and the ASG.
“It’s an opportunity for everyone to connect and help one another with various projects and events you all have planned,” said Joseph Root, ASG President. “Sometimes a club can put a lot of time and effort into planning an event and it’s just really deflating when only 20 people show up. We have some really cool events sometimes. We even have free food!”
Going around the room, each representative presented what events their club has planned and their normal meeting times.
One big project that is underway is the MLK celebration in January. The theme this year will be “Dream In Action.” Clubs and programs plan to join together to support the event and make it bigger than ever.
