The two winners of the BC OSLA-hosted mock cacus held on March 7 moved forward to the presidential debate held on March 14. Students representing the two leading candidates, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump, responded to questions asked by the moderator and the audition. The candidates were represented by students Joshua Sheperd and Frank Mueller.
Vanessa Ross, ASG vice president of external legislative affairs, said, “It’s important that people realize what our current presidential race actually looks like and also what’s going on at the state-level and even lower levels – the things that really, truly impact students at a much closer range.”
