Bellevue College’s International Student Association will be hosting a Halloween dance Oct. 25. Tickets to the Halloween Dance cost $10 and the proceeds from sales are mainly directed towards funding and improving future events, such as the annual Lunar New Year celebration and International Night. The event is a place for students to meet, dance, snack, flaunt their costumes and hit a photo booth equipped with a professional photographer. The dance will be “full of surprises,” hinted Nam Nguyen, International Student Association officer.
Nguyen explained that in comparison to previous ISA Halloween dances at BC, this one will be “way more creepy, the creepiest you can have.” The aspects of the event that make it such are “supposed to be a surprise,” but one thing that students should know before attending the dance is that “you will see corpses everywhere.”
Alongside the creepy cadavers there will be “lots of pumpkins,” said Yuki Hashimoto, one of the ISA officers.
There will be a costume contest, which all event attendees are invited to enter. There are five categories: coolest, sexiest, funniest, cutest and creepiest, and for each an undeclared prize will be awarded. For any weary attendees, Nguyen confirmed that the prize will not be a corpse. Tickets are available in the PALS center, bottom floor of the C building just outside of the cafeteria.
