With a little over a week left until the season is over, the Bellevue College Volleyball team won its last two games with an overall season score of 9-7 since their game in Skagit Valley on Oct. 29. The next upcoming game is against Edmonds Community College on Friday, Nov. 7 in Edmonds at 7:00 p.m. The next game is against Everett in Bellevue and is also at 7:00 p.m.
The team’s goal this year is to attend the 2014 Volleyball Championship hosted by the Northwest Athletic Conference at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center from Nov. 20-23. The all-star matches will be held Sunday, Nov. 23.
The strongest play of the Bellevue College volleyball team, according to Coach Jocelyn Lawrence, is the team’s endurance and their will to fight. Lawrence says that during some very tough games this season it looked like the team had no chance of getting back up, but the girls kept their play and won. “Each of them [the players] has done their part this year and contributes their weight for their team,” said Coach Lawrence. “This season we have seven sophomores and seven freshman. We will be honoring the sophomores on Tuesday, Nov. 11 during the game against Everett.”
