The Campus Activities Board and the Peer to Peer Mentoring Program will host the Winter Destress Fest from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the Office of Student Programs on the second floor of the Student Union Building. An international selection of teas and cookies will be served, and BCC clubs will host games and activities from around the world. There will be an additional session from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with refreshments only. Students at both sessions will be given free pencils and Scantron sheets, and there will also be free raffles of treat bags. Around 15 clubs are expected to participate. Unicef of BCC will provide a chocolate fountain. The Indonesian Fellowship Club will be demonstrating the Poco-Poco, a popular Indonesian line dance. The Ice Cream Club will host a snowman photo booth, and Rotaract is making a video at the event for their sister club in Nepal. Mariel Vaca, publicity and marketing coordinator of the Campus Activities Board, is organizing the fest. She said that everyone is welcome. The Campus Activities Board puts the Destress Fest together each quarter (except summer) about a week before finals. “We try to help the students forget about finals for a little bit,” Vaca said.
