While many of us were getting ready to ring in the New Year, Redmond Police were investigating the death of a body found Wednesday morning, Dec. 30, near an office complex on Bel-Red Road (Bellevue-Redmond border).
The body belonged to a white male, believed to be in his 40s or 50s.
The victim was wearing dark clothes and was without a jacket.
A Group Health groundskeeper found the body lying face down in the grass and called the police.
Police found blood at the scene. The body was discovered approximately 25 feet away from an occupied office complex.
According to the Bellevue Reporter, police consider the death “suspicious” because it is not clear whether it was a homicide or a suicide.
They have yet to determine the cause of death although they believe that the victim died at least 24 hours before the body was found.
As of now, the police believe it was an accidental death.
An autopsy report has not been released.
Redmond police continue their investigation but will not release any information concerning the death or the victim until the victim’s family has been notified.
