On Tuesday, Jan. 24, Bellevue College is hosting an in-person college transfer fair. From noon to 1:30 p.m. in room U313, join the conversation to learn about the process of transferring to an in-state school.
Cesar Rangel, a program specialist in the Academic Advising department, shared that prospective transfer students would benefit from the event, as “[u]niversity representatives who are at their institution daily will provide live update resources and services for BC transfer students.” The following schools will be attending the event: University of Washington, Seattle; University of Washington, Bothell; University of Washington, Tacoma; Washington State University; Seattle University; WSU Global Campus; WSU Everett; Gonzaga University and Western Washington University.
At the fair, attendees will “develop a plan, write a personal statement, meet admissions representatives, and produce competitive transfer applications” (BC FYI). Additionally, prospective transfer students will be informed of “admissions and major deadlines, admissions requirements, major requirements, prerequisite courses, clubs, scholarships, financial aid, student life, housing, and tuition information,” Rangel shared.
If an individual is unable to attend, Rangel recommends visiting BC’s University Transfer Center website. In the event that you need additional aid, please schedule a meeting with an academic advisor.
