Basketball is the sport that is played here at Bellevue College in the winter. We have both a men’s and women’s teams that will be top contenders this season to be in the running to bring home the trophy.
The Men have their first scrimmage against the blue angels this Thursday November 3. Followed by two other scrimmages as they prepare for the regular season to begin.
The women had their Jamboree this past Saturday here at Bellevue College. Their next scrimmage will be held in Kirkland this Friday at 4 p.m. against Northwest.
Scrimmages give the teams the chance to gain cohesiveness and learn how to play with one anther as new players have joined the team and players have left. Both teams are destined to have thrilling seasons.
Make sure you set time aside in your schedule now, so you will be able to catch at least one of their games this season.
Last season the men proved that they are a dominant force in the league and still demand respect. They were division champs last season and placed seven in the NWAACC Championship. This year they are gunning for the number one spot.
The women ended their season in third place in their divison and went on to get knocked out in the first round of the NWAACC Championship. The women are putting the first round loss behind them, and are ready to avenge last seasons early exit.
At BC the action never stops throughout the school year. Bellevue always has high-level teams competing in the NWAACC. Over the last several years Bellevue College has started to excel in sports.
All of the teams are recruiting top-notch talent. Make sure you are making time in your schedule to get out and show support for your school.
